\nCovington<\/a> wants to find out who\u2019s the real All-American between
\nhim and Chris
\nWeidman<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Covington dominantly beat Dillon
\nDanis<\/a> in a wrestling match at RAF 7 on Saturday. Covington
\nsubsequently called for a RAF matchup against Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a>, who did not entirely shut down the idea. However,
\nthe
\nUFC<\/a> is allegedly not allowing its active fighters to wrestle
\neach other at other promotions. <\/p>\n

If a matchup against Tsarukyan doesn\u2019t materialize, Covington
\nclaims he has a booking against Weidman sealed. \u201cChaos\u201d claims he
\nhas a \u201cdone deal\u201d to wrestle the former UFC middleweight champion
\nat RAF 9 on May 30 in Dallas, Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the backup plan if we\u2019re not able to get Arman, since
\nthey\u2019re saying no right now,\u201d Covington told Submission Radio<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s already a done deal.
\nMe and Chris
\nWeidman<\/a>\u2019s a done deal for RAF 9, which is gonna be on Dallas,
\nTexas, it\u2019s gonna be on May 30. So I\u2019m back in training camp
\ntomorrow, I\u2019m gonna get back to work, make some adjustments, be a
\nlittle tighter with my game, and come back better. Because I\u2019m
\ngonna need to be on my A-game for Chris
\nWeidman<\/a>, he\u2019s a world champion, he dethroned Anderson
\nSilva<\/a>, he\u2019s a former All-American. We\u2019re gonna put the
\nAll-Americans to the test and we\u2019re gonna find out who\u2019s the real
\nAll-American.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Covington (17-5) hasn\u2019t fought in the UFC since December
\n2024, the former interim welterweight champ has been invested in
\nRAF. Covington defeated Luke
\nRockhold<\/a> at RAF this past January before beating
\nDanis. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Weidman (16-8) suffered a stoppage loss against Eryk Anders<\/a>
\nin his last UFC outing in December 2024. Weidman announced his
\nretirement from the UFC soon after. Weidman has since suffered a
\ndecision loss in grappling match against fellow All-American
\nPat
\nDowney<\/a>.  <\/p>\n
