\nassignment from the
\nUFC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The lightweight contender will face UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber<\/a>
\nin the co-main event of Real American Freestyle 8 on April 18 in
\nPhiladelphia. The promotion announced the match on Wednesday. RAF 8
\nis headlined by a matchup between Merab
\nDvalishvili<\/a> and Henry
\nCejudo<\/a> and airs on Fox nation.<\/p>\n

Tsarukyan is coming off a victory over Georgio Poullas at RAF 7 on
\nMarch 28. The Russian is now 3-0 under the RAF banner, with
\nprevious triumphs over Poullas and Lance
\nPalmer<\/a>. Since submitting Dan Hooker<\/a> in
\nthe UFC Qatar headliner on Nov. 22, \u201cAhalkalakets” has competed in
\na number of grappling and wrestling matches in other organizations
\n\u2014 including notable matches against the likes of Muhammad
\nMokaev<\/a> and Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> in Hype FC. Tsarukyan has seemingly been at odds with
\nthe Las Vegas-based promotion since pulling out of a lightweight
\ntitle bout against Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a> at UFC 311 in January 2025.<\/p>\n

Faber was originally supposed to meet Cayden Henschel at RAF 8, but
\nno reason was given for the change in opponent; Henschel will now
\nface Palmer at the same event. \u201cThe California Kid,\u201d whose last
\nOctagon appearance came at UFC 245 in December 2019, has competed
\nperiodically in grappling matches since then. He made his RAF debut
\non Feb. 28, when he lost to Cejudo via technical fall.<\/p>\n
