While there was initially some confusion as to the official method
\nof victory for Alexa
\nGrasso<\/a> in the
\nUFC Seattle<\/a> co-main event, there was no question in Dana
\nWhite\u2019s mind as to where it stacks up among MMA\u2019s all-time
\nbest.<\/p>\n

\u201dI think it’s one of the greatest finishes in the sport’s history,
\nlet alone this year or tonight or whatever,” the UFC CEO said at
\nSaturday\u2019s post-fight press conference. “It was incredible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grasso officially defeated Maycee
\nBarber<\/a> via knockout at the 2:42 mark of Round 1, but it was the
\nway in which she dispatched her opponent that truly stood out. The
\nMexican standout crumpled Barber with a left hand and tagged her
\nwith a quick follow-up shot before swiftly securing a rear-naked
\nchoke on her fallen adversary. The submission was hardly necessary
\n\u2014 Barber was already unconscious \u2014 but it only added to the overall
\nvisual of the moment.<\/p>\n

While Grasso will likely end up on many year-end awards list for
\nher finish, simply getting the victory was key after dropping
\nback-to-back fights against Natalia
\nSilva<\/a> and Valentina
\nShevchenko<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Of course it’s always hard to have two losses in a row. I’ve never
\nexperienced that before,\u201d Grasso said. \u201cBut injuries are part of
\nthe journey. But healthy Alexa is very different than Alexa with
\ninjuries. I’m super happy that all my injuries healed and I’m
\nbetter. I’m back.<\/p>\n

“I trained so well this fight camp. It was very, very tough. It was
\nvery hard. I wanted to get the finish. Of course my jiu-jitsu game
\nwas the first point I wanted. I wanted to finish her, but of course
\nmy boxing is always there and I’m super glad it worked.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Bullet\u2019 with a Name on It<\/h2>\n

Grasso scored one of the biggest upsets in recent memory when she
\nsubmitted Valentina
\nShevchenko<\/a> to capture the flyweight crown at UFC 285 in March
\n2023. The overall series with Shevchenko, the reigning 125-pound
\nqueen, currently sits at 1-1-1 \u2014 so Grasso has reasonable case for
\na fourth bout with her rival. She admits that is the ultimate goal,
\nthough she also knows it might take a little more work to get
\nthere.<\/p>\n

“That would mean the world to me,” Grasso said. “Dream come true.
\nOf course. I don’t know how many fights I need to be a contender
\nagain, so I’ll do my job and continuing training. I need \u2013 I don’t
\nknow how many wins \u2013 to be in a championship fight, but that’s the
