Ethyn
\nEwing<\/a> now has a reputation for spoiling undefeated
\nrecords. <\/p>\n

Ewing took on the previously undefeated Rafael
\nEstevam<\/a> in a bantamweight matchup at
\nUFC Fight Night 272<\/a> on Saturday in Las Vegas. While Ewing was a
\nslight underdog going into the fight, the live odds drastically
\nchanged as the fight progressed. \u201cThe Professor\u201d did justice to his
\nmoniker, putting on an absolute technical masterclass against
\nEstevam, who looked at his wits end. Ewing gradually broke Estevam
\ndown before dropping him with a liver shot in the final round to
\nhand him his first professional loss. Despite the near-perfect
\nperformance, Ewing sees room for improvement. The 28-year-old
\nbelieves he could have finished the fight earlier and more
\ndramatically if he wasn\u2019t hesitant.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou guys are saying masterclass, I heard that thrown around a
\ncouple of times,\u201d Ewing told the UFC. \u201cAnd I will not disagree with
\nyou. But I\u2019m a perfectionist. So, you see this bump on my eye, I
\ndon\u2019t like leaving the stadium with a bump on my eye. There was
\nhesitancy, me and my team talked about it already. There were
\nopenings I could have taken, and probably put him out a lot quicker
\nand maybe in more dramatic fashion. That\u2019s where my mind is always
\nat, how could I be better.\u201d <\/p>\n

Destiny Awaits<\/h2>\n

This was the second undefeated
\nUFC<\/a> fighter who fell to Ewing. Ewing was a massive underdog
\nstepping in on short notice against Malcolm
\nWellmaker<\/a> in his UFC debut last November at Madison Square
\nGarden in New York. However, Ewing pulled off a massive upset by
\nhanding Wellmaker his only professional loss. Ewing considers
\nhimself among the best fighters in the world. Ewing clarifies that
\nhe aims to reach the pinnacle of success in the sport and not just
\nfight low-ranked opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like I\u2019m one of the best, if not the best,\u201d Ewing said.
\n\u201cI\u2019m not here to sit around and pitter patter and hang around with
\nthese guys at the bottom. My goal is that I jam in here, I take on
\neverybody they put in front of me, I kill them all in dramatic
\nfashion, I rise to the top, I get my belt and I achieve my destiny
\nthat I\u2019ve foreseen for a very long time.\u201d <\/p>\n
