\nUFC<\/a> star when he was 9 to 10 years old. <\/p>\n

Strickland recently caused controversy again while meeting a fan.
\nThe former UFC middleweight champion tried to make a little girl
\nflip the bird while posing for a photo with him.  Strickland
\nsubsequently said that every fan interaction reminds him of his
\nfirst meeting with a UFC fighter. Strickland was a kid when he came
\nacross the legendary Tank Abbott at a bar. Abbott was just probably
\ntrying to figure out what Strickland, a kid, was doing at a bar.
\nHowever, an angry Strickland, who has had a rough childhood, tried
\nto pick a fight with Abbott. Strickland\u2019s father, whom he is not a
\nfan of, intervened and apologized to Abbott. Abbott got the gist of
\nthe situation and hung around with Strickland for the rest of the
\nnight.<\/p>\n

\u2018It Was a Really Dope Night\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cEvery time I meet a kid who\u2019s a fan, I\u2019m always reminded of the
\nfirst time I met a UFC fighter,\u201d Strickland said on Instagram. \u201cI
\nhad to be like 9 or 10, it was a bar in Huntington beach. Why am I
\nat a bar? I don\u2019t know. So anyway, Tank Abbott comes up to me, and
\nhe\u2019s a little drunk, so Tank Abbott is kind of talking s\u2014t to me. I
\nthink he\u2019s just trying to figure out like, \u2018Why is this kid at a
\nbar?\u2019… Me being a super angry kid, I’m trying to fight Tank
\nAbbott now in this bar. My dad comes running up being like this
\ncuck beta male of a man, really weak f\u2014-ing man. And he starts
\napologizing to Tank Abbott, just being a real big cuck. And I think
\nat this moment Tank Abbott starts connecting the dots like,
\n\u2018There\u2019s this angry kid, there\u2019s this weak f\u2014-ing dad who has his
\nkid in a bar.\u2019 So I hung out with Tank all night long. It was a
\nreally dope night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Coming off an upset win over Anthony
\nHernandez<\/a>, Strickland (30-7) is scheduled to challenge Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> (15-0) for the middleweight title at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. <\/p>\n
