Renato “Moicano” Carneiro<\/a> wanted to sucker punch Chael Sonnen<\/a>
\nas a teenager. <\/p>\n

Sonnen is one of the best trash talkers in the history of MMA. Some
\nof Sonnen\u2019s best moments on the mic came against Brazilian stars
\nAnderson
\nSilva<\/a>, Wanderlei
\nSilva<\/a> and the Nogueira brothers. Carneiro recently revealed
\nthat he used to hate Sonnen while growing up. The Brazilian even
\nwanted to attend a
\nUFC<\/a> event just to sucker punch Sonnen. However, \u201cMoney Moicano\u201d
\nnow acknowledges the genius of Sonnen on the mic to make a
\n16-year-old want to sucker punch him.<\/p>\n

Understanding the Genius<\/h2>\n

\u201cTwo guys that everybody hates in Brazil \u2013 Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> and Chael Sonnen,\u201d Carneiro said. \u201cWhen I was 15 [or]\n16, I looked up to Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo<\/a>, all
\nthese guys. [Chael] was talking so much s\u2014t about Anderson Silva,
\nWanderlei, Minotauro that I thought of buying a flight ticket to go
\nto a UFC event just to sucker punch Chael Sonnen. Now I see him and
\nI say, \u2018This guy is a f\u2014ing genius.\u2019 You know, how smart you have
\nto be for a 16-year-old to want to punch you just because of your
\nmic skills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carneiro (21-7) took on his ATT teammate Chris
\nDuncan<\/a> in the main event at
\nUFC Fight Night 272<\/a> on Saturday. Carneiro dominated Duncan
\nbefore submitting him with a rear-naked choke in the second round.
\nAlso known for his mic skills, \u201cMoney Moicano\u201d campaigned about the
\nupcoming Brazilian elections in his post-fight interview. However,
\nCarneiro believes he is not skilled on the mic like Sonnen, but
\njust speaks his heart out. <\/p>\n
