Per a release from the organization on Thursday morning, the PFL
\nhas been forced to reschedule its PFL MENA event that was booked
\nfor May 8. It was to have commenced the third MENA tournament, as
\npertaining to the Middle East\/North Africa region, at the Dhahran
\nExpo in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. No reason has been given at the time,
\nwith the PFL promising details at a later date.<\/p>\n

The promotion states that it plans on rescheduling all of the
\nfights booked for the May 8 show to the newly established date, one
\nthat has not been announced. It does not indicate whether this PFL
\nMENA season opener will be staged in Khobar, and instead noted that
\nit will return to the city later this year. As mentioned earlier,
\nall tickets will be refunded, and not honored for the next
\nevent.<\/p>\n

At the time, nine bouts across four weight classes were booked for
\nthis fight card. It was titled \u201cRise of the Gulf,\u201d and it was going
\nto kick off the tournaments for three divisions instead of MENA\u2019s
\nprevious four last year. The featherweight, lightweight and
\nwelterweight divisions will be on focus, while the excluded
\nbantamweight category was to be replaced by \u201ca slate of
\nhigh-profile showcase bouts featuring the region\u2019s fastest-rising
\nstars.\u201d<\/p>\n
