Mere hours before the first PFL Africa event in 2026,
\nPFL Pretoria<\/a>, kicked off, the organization released some
\ndetails about its second jaunt to the continent. For the first time
\nin PFL history, the league will be traveling to Nigeria, posting up
\nin Lagos at the Eko Convention Center on June 13 for the event that
\nwill be coined either
\nPFL Nigeria or PFL Lagos<\/a>. While only two fights have been
\nrevealed, the plan is for the opening round of the bantamweight and
\nlightweight brackets to officially commence.<\/p>\n

Headlining the fight card is a non-tournament tilt pitting local
\nathlete Wasi
\nAdeshina<\/a> (10-3) against Spain\u2019s Nacho
\nCampos<\/a> (7-2) at 145 pounds. The former carved his way through
\nthe 2025 PFL Africa tournament, debuting with the organization in
\nAugust and picking up three victories in the span of four-plus
\nmonths to take home the $100,000 check and a shot at greater
\nheights. In the tournament, he tapped Jean-Jacques
\nLubaya<\/a>, outworked Dwight
\nJoseph<\/a> across three rounds and forced the doctors to rescue
\nAlain
\nMajorique<\/a> from a gargantuan cut in the finals.<\/p>\n

Campos may not have as much experience in the confines of the PFL
\nas his adversary, but he won when it mattered most. In his company
\nreturn in March, Campos outhustled an overweight Mathys
\nDuragrin<\/a> to put himself on the radar of the PFL brass. His
\nvictory on PFL Madrid springboarded the Spaniard into a headlining
\nopportunity in Africa, albeit as the unwelcome foreign adversary
\nbattling a proverbial hometown hero. This put a 2024 decision loss
\nat the \u201cBattle of the Giants\u201d card to Ibragim
\nIbragimov<\/a> in the rear-view mirror.<\/p>\n

The other bout currently set for the billing is a lightweight
\ntournament opener when Nigeria-based athlete Patrick
\nOcheme<\/a> (8-1) faces \u201cBantu Warrior\u201d Ayinda
\nOctave<\/a> (7-1). Both men sport exactly four knockouts on their
\nrespective ledgers, while their defeats have both been by knockout
\nas well. Ocheme has won six straight\u2014including a flying switch kick
\nKO\u2014with two of those in the PFL cage, and opponent Octave saw his
\nunbeaten record come to a screeching halt at the hands of Shido
\nBoris Esperanca<\/a> last October.<\/p>\n
