\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> has just found a potential star in
\nthe making at
\nPFL Chicago<\/a>, and his name is Mitchell
\nMcKee<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his PFL debut, McKee dominated former world champion Sergio
\nPettis<\/a> en route to a decision win (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
\nSaturday night at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Despite the close
\nscorecards, McKee (10-0, 1-0 PFL) was in control for the majority
\nof the fight. The unbeaten Minnesotan made mincemeat of Pettis on
\nthe ground and controlled the former Bellator kingpin\u2019s hips in
\ncheck. Pettis nearly pulled off a hail mary triangle choke in the
\nsecond round, but once McKee avoided the danger, he closed the door
\non Pettis\u2019 hopes for a comeback. With his first win in the PFL
\ncoming against a battle-tested former champion, the sky is the
\nlimit for what the promotion plans for its newest title
\ncontender.<\/p>\n

Renat
\nKhavalov<\/a> kept his unblemished record intact after eeking out a
\ntough decision win over experienced veteran Raufeon
\nStots<\/a> in bantamweight action. Khavalov (12-0, 4-0 PFL) bothered
\nStots with a consistent jab and erratic feints. Although Stots
\nlanded some big shots of his own and even dropped Khavalov in the
\nthird round, the Houston native spent too much time waiting for the
\nperfect shot and was outworked throughout the fight. Stots (21-4,
\n1-2 PFL) displayed a high skillset and could\u2019ve arguably snuck away
\nwith a decision, but Khavalov\u2019s consistency was properly awarded
\nthe victory.

\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> veteran flyweight Viviane
\nAraujo<\/a> handled business in her PFL debut, but she got a solid
\nscrap out of Shanna
\nYoung<\/a>. Despite dropping Young in the first round and nearly
\nfinishing her, Araujo was taken the distance in a fun fight. Young
\nshowcased heart and stubbornness and landed some big shots, but
\nAraujo\u2019s dominance on the ground and heavy hands led the way to a
\nclear unanimous decision win (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). After suffering a knockout in his last fight, Gabriel
\nBraga<\/a> dug deep and pulled out a decision win over scrappy
\nfeatherweight Cheyden
\nLeialoha<\/a> (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). Braga (17-3, 9-3 PFL) opened
\nthe contest slow and was outworked early on by the PFL debutant.
\nLeialoha (11-3, 0-1 PFL) fought well when he pushed the pace and
\nwalked forward, but Braga\u2019s conditioning and mounting pressure
\nturned the tide. Heading into the bout-deciding third round, Braga
\nleaned on his wrestling and kept top pressure while working in
\nconsistent ground-and-pound. Leialoha\u2019s gas tank failed him late
\nand despite the fast start, Braga\u2019s experience was too great to
\ndeny.<\/p>\n

If you let a world champion jiu-jitsu specialist take your back,
\nyou\u2019re probably going to sleep. Borena
\nTsertsvadze<\/a> found out the hard way in her flyweight bout
\nagainst Jena
\nBishop<\/a>, where Bishop, a former International Brazilian
\nJiu-Jitsu Federation world champion, technically submitted
\nTsertsvadze 2:21 into the first round. Bishop (9-3, 4-3 PFL) knew
\nshe was levels above the formerly unbeaten prospect on the ground
\nand quickly transitioned to the back after taking the fight to the
\nmat. Tsertsvadze (6-1, 0-1 PFL) tried her best to fight Bishop\u2019s
\nhands but the vet was simply too good.
\nOnce she found the neck, it wouldn\u2019t take long for the lights to go
\nout<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Omar El
\nDafrawy<\/a> is primed to make some noise in the PFL welterweight
\ndivision. The former PFL MENA tournament champion brought the crowd
\nto its feet with a highlight-reel worthy first-round knockout over
\nJames
\nVake<\/a> (1:12). El Dafrawy (15-6, 5-1 PFL) stormed out and took
\ncontrol of the center of the cage, keeping Vake on his backfoot.
\nAfter landing several solid calf kicks, El Dafrawy feinted the
\nkick, and cracked Vake (7-2, 0-1 PFL) with a
\nflush left hand that put him out flat on his back<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Paulina
\nWisniewska<\/a> picked up the biggest win of her career via second
\nround TKO (3:15) over Kana
\nWatanabe<\/a>. Wisnieska (7-1, 5-1 PFL) showed a ton of promise
\nafter winning the 2024 PFL Europe flyweight title but suffered a
\nminor setback after losing a split decision in December.
\nWiseniewska took it out of the judges hands, however, and
\n
\nbattered the former Bellator contender<\/a><\/strong> until Mike
\nCrimm was forced to pull her off. Watanabe (13-5-1, 1-3 PFL) has
\nlost three straight.<\/p>\n

UFC veteran Alexander
\nRomanov<\/a> accepted a last-minute opportunity and dominated
\nRodrigo
\nNascimento<\/a> en route to a second-round submission (gullotine).
\nRomanov (22-4, 2-1 PFL) ragdolled Nascimento (12-5, 1-2) throughout
\nthe first round and had \u201cYogi Bear\u201d out of sorts. Romanov is a
\nfrighteningly strong heavyweight who can make life hard on the mat.
\nNascimento held on for dear life, but Romanov wasn\u2019t going to let
\nhim off the hook for much longer and
\nseized his opportunity to close the show<\/a><\/strong> in the
\nsecond.<\/p>\n

Biaggio
\nAli Walsh<\/a> made quick work of Dashiande
\nHarris-Moore<\/a>, TKOing the Michigan native in 46 seconds. Ali
\nWalsh (4-1, 4-1 PFL) had been on the sidelines since August and
\nwasted little time dispatching his overmatched foe. Ali Walsh
\ninvested to the body early and caught Harris-Moore with a right
\nhand to the solar plexus. Harris\u2013Moore (2-1, 0-1 PFL)
\n
\ncrumpled to the canvas<\/a><\/strong> before referee John McCarthy
\nwas forced to call the bout.<\/p>\n

Valanti
\nAtsas<\/a> kicked off the night with a unanimous decision win
\n(29-28, 29-28, 29-28) over 25-fight veteran Nate
\nJennerman<\/a> in welterweight action. Atsas (10-1, 1-0 PFL)
\ncontrolled the first two rounds with his wrestling and kept
\nJennerman pressed and smothered against the fence. Down two rounds,
\nJennerman (18-7, 0-1 PFL) nearly pulled off the comeback in the
\nfinal minute after catching Atsas in a deep arm triangle, but Atsas
