\nheadliner as the one that got away.<\/p>\n

With the vacant light heavyweight title on the line and Carlos
\nUlberg<\/a> hobbled by an apparent knee injury, Prochazka suffered a
\nshocking knockout loss 3:45 into the opening stanza on Saturday
\nnight at the Kaseya Center in Miami. In the aftermath of the
\ndefeat, Prochazka lamented a missed opportunity while also hinting
\nthat he may have let up once he realized his opponent was
\ninjured.<\/p>\n

It was the same sentiment for Prochazka both in his immediate
\npost-fight interview and then in a video update he later provided
\nvia social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust checking the jaw in the hospital,\u201d Prochazka said on his
\nInstagram Stories. \u201cBig apologies for my performance tonight. I
\nstill can\u2019t understand this. My stupid mercy in the fight and that
\ncost me this fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to fight a rematch. Because that was my fight. That
\nwas my fight and I just gave him this opportunity to catch me. Big
\napologies to everyone who support me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018I Lost the Focus\u2019<\/h2>\n

In a caption on a separate Instagram post, Prochazka again
\nreferenced \u201cmercy\u201d but also offered no excuses for the defeat.<\/p>\n

If this is the part to be the best, I take it,\u201d he wrote. \u201cMercy
\nwas out of place and this part of myself I need to destroy. In the
\ncage for sure. No excuses, I lost the focus, he [caught] me. One
\nmore time, apologies everyone, for my performance It is inevitable
\nto be stronger than ever. See you soon. Let\u2019s go back to home and
\nsee the miracle of life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prochazka has now fallen short in his last three light heavyweight
\ntitle fights \u2014 twice against Alex
\nPereira<\/a> before the latest defeat to Ulberg. \u201cBJP\u201d captured
\n205-pound gold with a fifth-round submission of Glover
\nTeixeira<\/a> at UFC 275 in June 2022. He was forced to vacate the
\nbelt later that year after suffering a significant shoulder
\ninjury.<\/p>\n
