\nPride Fighting Championships<\/a> heavyweight Mark Hunt<\/a> was
\narrested on domestic violence charges in Australia, according to
\nthe Sydney Morning Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\nTuesday evening on charges of stalking or intimidation with intent
\nto cause physical harm. Per the report, Hunt allegedly threatened
\nto physically assault a family member at the property. The
\n52-year-old was denied police bail ahead of a court appearance on
\nWednesday.<\/p>\n
\nthat Hunt was helping the family member with an unspecified task
\nwhen he began acting in an \u201cintimidating and berating manner\u201d that
\ncaused \u201cfear and distress\u201d for the woman and another witness. Hunt
\nalso allegedly previously sent the woman a threatening text: \u201cI\u2019m
\njust going to murder you in the end anyway.\u201d Hunt wasn\u2019t charged in
\nrelation to the text, and the defense denied that he sent the
\nmessage.<\/p>\nConditions for Bail<\/h2>\n

\nThe defense revealed that Hunt is likely to plead guilty to the
\nstalking and intimidation charge. Hunt\u2019s case is scheduled to be
\nheard in Australia\u2019s Ballina Local Court on April 30.<\/p>\n

\ninitially dismissed in 2019 before finding new life in appeals
\ncourt in 2021. Last year, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals

\nruled<\/a> that Hunt would not be able to sue the UFC due to the
\nfact that \u201cevidence of damages had not been adequately
\npresented.\u201d<\/p>\n
