\nCarano<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Rousey will square off against Carano in the main event of a

\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a> card on Netflix on May 16, \u201cRowdy\u201d
\ntook aim at fellow judoka Kayla
\nHarrison<\/a> during a press conference on Wednesday. During a
\nrecent interview on the \u201dDeath Row MMA\u201d podcast,<\/a> Harrison, the current
\n
\nUFC<\/a> bantamweight queen, expressed disappointment that Rousey vs
\nCarano has been touted by some as the biggest fight in women\u2019s MMA
\nhistory. Harrison also called Rousey \u201cirrelevant.\u201d Harrison was
\nsupposed to face Amanda
\nNunes<\/a> at UFC 324<\/a>
\nbefore she had to withdraw from the event to undergo neck
\nsurgery.<\/p>\n

Rousey was in prime form as she fired back at Harrison during
\nWednesday\u2019s promotional event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf she thinks that her fight is the biggest women\u2019s fight of
\nall-time, why is she getting paid less now than I was 10 years
\nago?\u201d Rousey said. \u201cSo riddle me this, bitch, are you overvalued or
\nare you overpaid? What really pisses me off more than anything else
\nis how small she thinks. This is not just the biggest women\u2019s fight
\nof all time; this is the biggest MMA fight of all time. It\u2019s going
\nto get the most views on the biggest platform on the card with the
\nbiggest stars, and it was assembled by and will be headlined by two
\nwomen who dared to dream big.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis dream is going to bring more opportunities and greater
\nrevenue share to fighters than they\u2019ve ever had before because this
\nfight is bigger than just me and Gina. It\u2019s bigger than anybody on
\nthis stage. It represents an unstoppable force of change in this
\nindustry, spearheaded by the fighters themselves. You bet your
\nf\u2014ing ass this is the biggest MMA fight of all time. Bar none.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raising the Ceiling<\/h2>\n

Speaking of opportunities, Rousey also provided some insight into
\nthe minimum pay structure for all fighters on the card. She claims
\nthat everyone on the card, from the opening bout to the main event,
\nwill have a minimum purse that exceeds what is typically offered by
\nthe UFC for entry-level deals.<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s really important that we raise the ceiling but we also
\nraise the floor. One thing that I\u2019m really proud of in this fight
\nis the absolute minimum that anybody will walk away with \u2014 even if
\nthey don\u2019t have a big, long record and even if they lose \u2014 is
\n$40,000. If you fight three times in a year, that is much more than
\na living wage and that is something that the UFC cannot say.<\/p>\n

\u201c..I hope that after this event we can keep raising that ceiling
\nhigher and higher and higher until it is on par with the highest
\nlevel boxers because that is really where the holy grail I think
\nfor us is, and this is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n
