\nYannis<\/a> felt he had a point to prove at UFC
\nWinnipeg<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Yannis (10-4) opened the action against Canada\u2019s Jamie Siraj<\/a>
\n(14-4) in a bantamweight clash at the Canada Life Center in
\nWinnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on Saturday. Coming off a loss in his
\n
\nUFC<\/a> debut, Yannis felt he had a point to prove in his sophomore
\nouting in enemy territory. Yannis knocked out Siraj in front of the
\nlatter\u2019s home crowd in the very first round.<\/p>\n

\u201cCame from a loss, so I felt I had something to prove coming into
\nenemy territory,\u201d Yannis told the UFC. \u201cFeels good, couldn\u2019t have
\nasked for a better night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yannis suffered a first-round submission loss against Austin
\nBashi<\/a> in his short-notice UFC debut at featherweight last year.
\nHowever, \u201cThe Juice\u201d believes he is one of the best bantamweights
\nwith a full camp. Winning in enemy territory is also nothing new to
\nYannis. Yannis claims he was ruining his opponents\u2019 homecomings on
\nthe regional scene, which translated to the biggest stage at UFC
\nWinnipeg.<\/p>\n

Familiar Feeling<\/h2>\n

\u201cEven coming off the L to Austin
\nBashi<\/a> \u2013 I took the fight on four days\u2019 notice, a weight class
\nhigher,\u201d Yannis said. \u201cI truly believe I\u2019m one of the most
\ndangerous guys at 135. So full camp at 135 against an opponent, I
\nwould put the house on me every single time. And coming into enemy
\nterritory is nothing different. I feel like my whole career has
\nbeen going to my opponents\u2019 cities and getting the job done in
\nfront of their home crowd. And this is nothing new to me, just on a
\nbigger scale.\u201d
