\nPereira<\/a> under the Glory Kickboxing banner.<\/p>\n

Gane, who will face \u201cPoatan\u201d for the interim heavyweight crown at

\nUFC White House<\/a> on June 14, has been training with Artem
\nVakhitov<\/a> ahead of that fight. Vakhitov defeated Pereira via
\nmajority decision at Glory 78 in September 2021.<\/p>\n

\u2028Vakhitov, who owns a 3-1 MMA record, posted video of some sparring
\nwith Gane via Instagram on Monday. Vakhitov earned a contract on
\n
\nDana White’s Contender Series<\/a> in 2024 but was unable to come to
\nterms with the Las Vegas-based promotion.<\/p>\n

Gane, a former interim heavyweight champion, has twice come up
\nshort in bids for undisputed heavyweight gold, dropping a unanimous
\nverdict to Francis
\nNgannou<\/a> at UFC 270 and suffering a first-round submission loss

\nJones<\/a> at UFC 285. More recently, a title clash against Tom
\nAspinall<\/a> at UFC 321 ended in a no contest after Gane poked his
\nopponent in the eye. Aspinall, the reigning heavyweight king is
\nstill on the mend from the foul.<\/p>\n

Pereira will be making an attempt at capturing a third
\nUFC<\/a>title when he meets Gane. \u201cPoatan\u201d last appeared at UFC 320,
\nwhere he regained the light heavyweight strap with a first-round
\nstoppage of Magomed
\nAnkalaev<\/a>. Pereira later vacated the belt with the move to
