Vicente
\nLuque<\/a> believes he has the skills to compensate for his size
\ndisadvantage at middleweight. <\/p>\n

Luque made his middleweight debut against Kelvin
\nGastelum<\/a> at UFC 327<\/a>
\nearlier this month. \u201cThe Silent Assassin\u201d forced Gastelum to tap
\nwith an anaconda choke in the opening round. While Luque fought at
\nwelterweight for most of his career, he plans to stick around at
\nmiddleweight going forward. <\/p>\n

Luque (24-12) admits that he is unlikely to be among the strongest
\nguys at 185 pounds. However, Luque believes he has the technique to
\ncompensate for the difference in strength with other middleweights.
\nLuque has also had the experience of training with elite
\nmiddleweights at
\nKill Cliff FC<\/a> like Reinier
\nde Ridder<\/a>, Gregory
\nRodrigues<\/a>, and Impa
\nKasanganay<\/a>. Having trained with middleweights while being a
\nwelterweight, Luque doesn\u2019t think he will have issues sticking
\naround at 185 pounds now.<\/p>\n

Compensating with Skill and Technique<\/h2>\n

\u201cI think that I have enough skill and technique to deal with a lot
\nof those problems,\u201d Luque told MMAjunkie.com<\/a>. \u201cObviously, I don\u2019t think that
\nI\u2019m gonna be one of the strongest guys. I train with so many
\nmiddleweights. RDR is one of the guys, in the grappling he is
\nreally strong and powerful. Definitely, he is a guy that
\noverwhelmed me sometimes with power, but I still, with my skill,
\ncan work through positions\u2026 Another guy I train with often, I would
\ncall him the strongest middleweight that I\u2019ve trained with, is
\n\u2018Robocop.\u2019… But it\u2019s something that I have become used to. I have
\ntrained with them even when I was a welterweight full-time\u2026 I don\u2019t
\nsee myself having problems with that.\u201d
