\nUFC<\/a> veteran Tim Means<\/a> was
\nrecently arrested after an altercation with his daughter.<\/p>\n

Means was arrested on Wednesday from his home in Tijeras, New
\nMexico, on charges of abandonment or abuse of a child. He was
\nreleased on Friday on own recognizance. The The Albuquerque Journal<\/a> was first to reveal
\ndetails of the incident.<\/p>\n

Means\u2019 17-year-old daughter told the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s
\nOffice that the dispute with her father started over household
\nchores. Means allegedly got violent and head butted his daughter,
\nleading to bleeding from the nose. The UFC welterweight also
\nallegedly grabbed his daughter by her neck and pinned her in the
\nkitchen while she was trying to gather her things and leave. Means\u2019
\ndaughter claims he threw a potato at her while she tried to get
\naway. The complaint also states that Means punched his daughter
\nwith a closed fist on the right side of her cheek.<\/p>\n

According to court records, the teen had red marks on her neck,
\nblood on her nose and several red marks on her face. Means admitted
\nto the argument but said that he only used force to restrain her
\nfrom hitting him. <\/p>\n

Lengthy UFC Career<\/h2>\n

While Means debuted in the UFC in 2012, his first stint lasted
\nbarely over a year. Means\u2019 second UFC stint started in 2014 and the
\n42-year-old has since been a part of the promotion. Currently on a
\ntwo-fight skid, Means hasn\u2019t fought since a submission loss against
\nCourt
\nMcGee<\/a> in October 2024.
