Montague took on Silva in the prelims at
\nUFC Fight Night 274<\/a> in Las Vegas. While Montague dominated
\nSilva on the mat for the most part, the former title challenger had
\nher moments in the second round. Montague earned a unanimous
\ndecision win after three rounds to notch her second
\nUFC<\/a> victory in as many outings. <\/p>\n

Montague admits that she was mentally tested against \u201cSheetara.\u201d
\nHowever, Montague doesn\u2019t credit Silva for much. Montague believes
\nshe made mistakes, which let Silva had her brief moments. The
\nundefeated Kiwi looks forward to training outside of camp, where
\nshe can focus on tidying up her stand-up game.<\/p>\n

Fight Night Takeaways<\/h2>\n

\u201cI definitely got tested in there mentally,\u201d Montague said in a
\npost-fight interview with the UFC. \u201cIt\u2019s not like she was doing
\nanything crazy, I was just doing things that I know better than to
\ndo\u2026 Good things to take, bad things to take\u2026 I\u2019m looking forward to
\nmost my outside of camp training. Where we get to just try to learn
\nhow to box and defend properly, try to upscale that. And all the
\nthings in this fight that someone other than her would have
\ncapitalized on more. We need to tidy all of that s\u2014t up.\u201d <\/p>\n

Montague (8-0) had finished all six of her fights via her signature
\nrear-naked choke before signing with the UFC last year. Meanwhile,
\nSilva (10-7) is currently on a five-fight skid. Silva even had a
\nmomentary weight miss scare for this fight, but eventually made the
\nnon-title bantamweight limit. <\/p>\n
