\nNgannou<\/a> believes his former foe Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nis not a suitable matchup for Alex
\nPereira<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Pereira (13-3) is set to face Gane (13-2) for the interim
\nheavyweight title at
\nUFC White House<\/a> on June 14. Pereira will look to create history
\nby winning a UFC title in a third weight category. However, many,
\nincluding Ngannou, consider Gane to be Pereira\u2019s toughest test so
\nfar. <\/p>\n

It will be a big move up for Pereira, who started his
\nUFC<\/a> career as a middleweight. Ngannou believes Gane is more
\nwell-round that Pereira. Gane is known for being unusually slick at
\nheavyweight. Ngannou believes Pereira will find it difficult after
\nmoving up from light heavyweight to face a heavyweight striker who
\nis faster than most light heavyweights.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Ciryl has more tools here,\u201d Ngannou told Helen Yee<\/a>. \u201cAlex Pereira has his own
\nstyle, Ciryl Gane has his own style. For me, it\u2019s not a good
\nmatchup for Alex Pereira in terms of style. Basically, if he\u2019s
\nmoving up to the division and has to face a heavyweight that is
\neven lighter than a light heavyweight on his feet.\u201d <\/p>\n

Ngannou (18-3) defended his heavyweight title against former
\nteammate Gane in his last UFC outing at UFC 270 in 2022. While
\nNgannou is known for his knockout power, \u201cThe Predator\u201d surprised
\nfans by using cage wrestling to control Gane and earn a unanimous
\ndecision win. Ngannou is now scheduled to fight Philipe
\nLins<\/a> on
\nMVP’s first MMA card<\/a> in collaboration with Netflix on May
