Strickland is known for his controversial takes on gun control. The
\nformer middleweight champion has a large collection of guns and
\nadvises people to carry guns as well. Strickland\u2019s teammate,
\nFrancis
\nNgannou<\/a>, once asked him why he always carries a gun. Strickland
\nhilariously told him to look at himself in the mirror.<\/p>\n

\nMVP Uncut<\/a>. \u201cI told him, \u2018Look in the
\nmirror.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Ngannou, the former
\nUFC<\/a> heavyweight champ, certainly cuts an intimidating figure.
\nHowever, Strickland has other reasons to carry a gun. Strickland
\nwas once seen holding a domestic abuse suspect at gunpoint outside
\nhis home in Las Vegas. Strickland also found himself on the wrong
\nend of a gun during a road rage incident. <\/p>\n

Big Fights on the Horizon<\/h2>\n

Strickland and Ngannou are both currently in camp at the
\nXtreme Couture<\/a> gym in Las Vegas. Strickland (30-7) will
\nchallenge Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> (15-0) for the middleweight title at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Meanwhile,
\nNgannou (18-3) is scheduled to face Philipe
\nLins<\/a> (18-5) at
\nMost Valuable Promotions “Rousey vs. Carano”<\/a>on May 16 at the
\nIntuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
