\nUFC<\/a> doesn\u2019t necessarily dislike drama from fighters. <\/p>\n

Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> (22-6) is credited for taking MMA to unforeseen
\nheights, also becoming the sport\u2019s greatest ever star in the
\nprocess. While McGregor is known for his legendary trash talk,
\n\u201cNotorious\u201d also arguably crossed some boundaries to promote his
\nfights. <\/p>\n

The most notable of McGregor\u2019s build-ups was ahead of his UFC 229
\nclash against Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. The Dubliner threw a dolly at a bus carrying
\nNurmagomedov and other fighters at UFC 223 in 2018 at the Barclays
\nCenter in Brooklyn, New York. However, Tsarukyan doesn\u2019t think the
\nUFC was disappointed with McGregor\u2019s actions. According to
\n\u201cAhalkalakets,\u201d it was the drama leading up to the fight that made
\nMcGregor vs. Nurmagomedov the biggest fight in UFC history.<\/p>\n

Selling the Drama<\/h2>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s good for the UFC,\u201d Tsarukyan told Patrick Bet-David. \u201cYou
\nthink they didn\u2019t like it? They liked it\u2026 The sport is getting big
\nbecause of drama, not because of fighting. Like Conor, Khabib,
\nDiaz, the trash talk, everything. Not just fighting, but what’s
\ngoing on before the fight. The bus thing went viral too. Because of
\nthat, that fight was the biggest fight in the UFC. If it wasn\u2019t for
\nthe conflict before that, yeah, Conor-Khabib, they talk s\u2014t in the
\npress conference, they fight, it\u2019s gone.\u201d <\/p>\n

McGregor is rumored to return against Max
\nHolloway<\/a> at UFC 329<\/a>
\nthis summer, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
\nMeanwhile, Tsarukyan (23-3) isn\u2019t shying away from his share of
\ndrama. Tsarukyan was suspended for punching a fan while walking out
\nfor his UFC 300 clash against Charles
\nOliveira<\/a> in 2024. Tsarukyan recently offered to buy Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a>\u2019s house, which went up for sale, provided the champion
\nagreed to fight him. <\/p>\n
