\nheadliner on Saturday will lead to a welterweight title shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s the natural path. I just knocked out a former
\nchampion [Leon
\nEdwards<\/a>]. \u201cIf I can knock out another one, even more so
\nfighting in his home country, I think the title shot will come,\u201d
\nPrates said in an interview with Brazilian journalist Laerte
\nViana.<\/p>\n

\nThe Fighting Nerds<\/a> standout made it clear that he is prepared
\nfor the best version of the former champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m coming prepared to face a guy who lost the belt and is coming
\nfull of hate and with the support of his fans to reclaim his belt
\nand show that he\u2019s alive in the division, ready to fight for five
\nrounds in the toughest fight of his life,\u201d Prates said. \u201cI prepared
\nfor this, but I hope it won\u2019t be. Hopefully I\u2019ll land two punches
\nin the first round and he\u2019ll go with God.\u201d<\/p>\n

Planning Another Highlight<\/h2>\n

Prates, who has been victorious in six of his seven Octagon
\nappearances, declined to divulge the details behind his fight
\nstrategy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can say is that my coaches are very satisfied,\u201d he said.
\n\u201cI\u2019m a striker and he\u2019s a boxer. I don\u2019t believe he can take me
\ndown and even if he does, I\u2019ll come back standing. If everything
\ngoes as planned, it will be another highlight for the UFC.\u201d<\/p>\n
