Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> doesn\u2019t care about his opponents\u2019 game plans. <\/p>\n

Chimaev\u2019s close friend, Arman
\nTsarukyan<\/a>, recently explained why the middleweight champion is
\ndifferent than most fighters. Tsarukyan claims that Chimaev never
\nstudies tape on his opponents. According to Tsarukyan, Chimaev is
\nonly focused on his own game plan in the fight. Chimaev is so
\nconfident in his skills that he doesn\u2019t care about what his
\nopponent is going to bring to the table.<\/p>\n

\u201cBorz\u201d is scheduled to defend his title against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> (30-7) at UFC 328<\/a>
\non May 9 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Tsaruyan
\n(23-3)  is currently helping Chimaev (15-0) in camp for his
\nupcoming fight. Tsarukyan guarantees that he has watched more tape
\non Strickland than Chimaev has. Tsarukyan also admits that he
\nnaturally has a different approach than Chimaev,  watching a
\nlot of tape on his opponent and making a game plan accordingly.<\/p>\n

Film Study Overrated?<\/h2>\n

However, Chimaev is rubbing off on Tsarukyan. \u201cAhalkalakets\u201d claims
\nthat he now watches just one fight of his opponent and lets his
\ncoaches do the rest.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever I watch him sparring, I always try to take something from
\nhim\u2026 He has a different mindset,\u201d Tsarukyan told Patrick Bet-David.
\n\u201cNever watches his opponents\u2019 fights. Doesn\u2019t care what his
\n[opponent] is gonna do\u2026 He doesn\u2019t even know what Strickland does.
\nHe cares what he is gonna do to [his opponent]. He has his own game
\nplan based on just what he is gonna do. That\u2019s why he is different,
\nthat\u2019s why he is the champion. Me, I am opposite\u2026 But I\u2019m learning
\nfrom him. Nowadays I don\u2019t think about my opponent so much. I watch
\none and that\u2019s it\u2026 I think I watch more of [Khamzat\u2019s] opponent
\nthan him, for sure.\u201d <\/p>\n
