Aljamain
\nSterling<\/a> could feel darkness setting in when Youssef
\nZalal<\/a> caught him in a guillotine. <\/p>\n

Sterling (26-5) and Zalal (18-6) traded leather in the main event
\nat
\nUFC Fight Night 274<\/a> last Saturday at the Apex in Las Vegas. It
\nwas complete domination by Sterling, barring a brief guillotine
\nscare in the third round. As Zalal caught Sterling in a guillotine,
\n\u201cFunkmaster\u201d took him down, leading to an even tighter choke.
\nHowever, Sterling maintained composure and defended the choke and
\nwent on to dominate the rest of the round and the fight to earn a
\nunanimous decision win. <\/p>\n

Difficult to Breathe<\/h2>\n

Sterling recently revealed that Zalal\u2019s guillotine was
\nsubstantially tight. \u201cFunkmaster\u201d even felt his vision clouding
\nmomentarily. However, the former bantamweight champion just didn\u2019t
\nhave any quit in him. Sterling admits that he might have tapped to
\na similar choke in training.  <\/p>\n

\u201cIt was tight,\u201d Sterling told Home of Fight<\/a>. \u201cI could definitely feel my trachea;
\neverything was kind of closing off, it was really hard to breathe.
\nI was starting to wheeze a little bit, it felt like it was starting
\nto get a little black. I was just like, \u2018I\u2019m gonna go to sleep
\nbecause I\u2019m just not tapping.\u2019 I just could not give him the
\nsatisfaction that he made me tap. If that was training, I would
\nhave tapped.\u201d <\/p>\n
