Magomedov also confirmed that<br \/>\nMakhachev is now officially in camp for his next fight. While the<br \/>\ncamp started a few days back, Makhachev joined on Monday.<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Back to Work<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe camp began a few days ago, but for Islam, it has really<br \/>\nstarted today,\u201d Magomedov told Red Corner MMA.<\/p>\n<p>Makhachev (28-1) moved up from lightweight after defending the<br \/>\ntitle four times, the most in the division\u2019s history. Makhachev<br \/>\ndethroned <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Jack-Della-Maddalena-208155\">Jack<br \/>\nDella Maddalena<\/a> to win the welterweight title at <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/events\/UFC-322-Nov-15-109394\">UFC 322<\/a><br \/>\nthis past November. <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Ian-Garry-268923\">Ian Garry<\/a> and<br \/>\n<a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Michael-Morales-268041\">Michael<br \/>\nMorales<\/a> are currently jostling for the next title shot against<br \/>\nMakhachev. Makhachev even expressed interest in Garry\u2019s latest<br \/>\ncallout, claiming that he is just waiting on a contract. Meanwhile,<br \/>\nMorales has hinted that he is not out of the picture yet by posting<br \/>\na photo with Hunter Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>However, recent reports suggest that Makhachev is likely to defend<br \/>\nhis title against Garry next.
