\nhas high expectations for Tai
\nTuivasa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tuivasa (14-9) is scheduled to fight Louie
\nSutherland<\/a> (10-5) in front of home fans at UFC Perth<\/a>
\non Saturday at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Tuivasa had
\nshifted his training base to Dubai in 2021. However, amid ongoing
\ntensions in the Middle East, Tuivasa has returned to his home
\ncountry to train with Vickers at Scrappy MMA in Perth. <\/p>\n

Vickers says that while people barely see beyond Tuivasa\u2019s
\nentertaining persona, \u201cBam Bam\u201d is an exceptional fighter. Vickers
\nbelieves Tuivasa still has a lot more to show, which will be
\nevident at UFC Perth. According to Vickers, \u201cBam Bam\u201d is currently
\nin good shape and motivated. Vickers also believes Tuivasa still
\nhas it in him to make another title run despite his recent losing
\nstreak. Vickers expects a more technical version of Tuivasa at UFC
\nPerth.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s Blown My Mind\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cPeople see this larger than life character\u2026 he is a phenomenal
\nmartial artist,\u201d Vickers told Southern Cross Combat<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m really looking
\nforward to seeing him show what he\u2019s got in the locker\u2026 I think
\n\u2018Bam\u2019 can make another run for the title. Coming off a skid, it
\nseems like a far fetched thing to say, but I\u2019ve said some far
\nfetched things in my time, and some of them have come true. I think
\n\u2018Bam\u2019 can go on a run here, he is really talented heavyweight, and
\nmotivated. He\u2019s keen, his weight\u2019s good, he\u2019s fit. We\u2019re doing
\nfive, six, seven rounds MMA multiple times a week. He\u2019s blown my
\nmind, he\u2019s really impressed me. And I look forward to seeing a
\ntechnical \u2018Bam\u2019 come May 2.\u201d <\/p>\n

Tuivasa went on an impressive five-fight knockout streak from 2020
\nto 2022 that brought him to the cusp of a title shot. However,
\nTuivasa\u2019s run ended with a stoppage loss against Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nthat marked the beginning of his current six-fight losing
\nstreak. <\/p>\n
