Khalil
\nRountree<\/a> recently shared an honest reaction to Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a>\u2019s light heavyweight plans.<\/p>\n

Rountree is currently helping Chimaev (15-0) prepare for his
\nupcoming middleweight title defense against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> (30-7) at
\nUFC 328<\/a> on May 9 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It
\nis widely speculated that Chimaev will move up to light heavyweight
\nin the near future.<\/p>\n

Rountree admits that he wasn\u2019t very happy to hear about Chimaev\u2019s
\nplans to move up. The former light heavyweight title challenger
\nisn\u2019t very excited about a potential matchup against Chimaev.
\nHaving trained with him, Rountree reveals that the middleweight
\nchampion gives tough competition to partners of all sizes.
\nAccording to Rountree, light heavyweights are \u201cscrewed\u201d if Chimaev
\nmoves up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I first heard the news, I was a bit bummed out, really,\u201d
\nRountree said in a recent media scrum captured by Cageside Press<\/a>. \u201cJust to know that a guy like Khamzat
\nwould come to the division, and that could be a potential matchup
\nif that happened. Doesn\u2019t make me happy, thinking about that.
\nTraining with this guy, he\u2019s the best in the world, it\u2019s difficult.
\nIn all areas, in stand up, in grappling, no one gets an easy round
\nwith Khamzat, doesn\u2019t matter what weight class, what size. That was
\nmy initial thought, \u2018If he made the move up, we\u2019re all kind of
\nscrewed.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Considered one of the best active fighters in the world, Chimaev
\nhas run through every UFC opponent barring Kamaru
\nUsman<\/a> and Gilbert
\nBurns<\/a>. The undefeated Chechen-born dominantly dethroned
\nDricus
\nDu Plessis<\/a> to win the middleweight title at
\nUFC 319<\/a> last year.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Rountree is coming off a last-round stoppage loss
\nagainst Jiri
\nProchazka<\/a> in a fight that he was winning until he wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n
