Tom
\nAspinall<\/a>\u2019s recovery is going well.<\/p>\n

Aspinall underwent multiple eye procedures after being poked in the
\neye by Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\nin his first heavyweight title defense at UFC 320<\/a>
\nlast year. Aspinall recently revealed that he is recovering. While
\nAspinall previously couldn\u2019t move his right eye, things have since
\nimproved. The UFC heavyweight champ is pleased with the results
\nfrom his latest checkup. According to \u201cHoney Badger,\u201d he will be
\nready for contact training soon if things keep going well. While
\nAspinall isn\u2019t sparring yet, he is back in the gym.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Gane and Aspinall are scheduled to fight for the interim
\nheavyweight title at
\nUFC White House: Freedom 250<\/a> on June 14. Aspinall claims the
\nUFC has guaranteed that he will fight the winner.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had a scan and things are progressing fuc*ing nicely, which I\u2019m
\nvery happy about,\u201d Aspinall said on his official YouTube channel.
\n\u201cThey\u2019re saying, pretty soon; things keep moving in the right
\ndirection, I will be cleared for contact. I\u2019m back in the gym, I\u2019m
\nback training. No sparring just yet. But if things keep going the
\nway they\u2019re going, we\u2019re back\u2026 Alex and Ciryl have to fight for the
\ninterim title, obviously I\u2019m going to fight the winner. The UFC
\nhave told me that I\u2019m going to fight the winner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aspinall (15-3) had a slight falling out with
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> brass after his fight against
\nGane. The fight ended in a no-contest as Aspinall was unable to
\ncontinue after getting eye-poked in the first round. However, Dana
\nWhite hinted that Aspinall didn\u2019t continue as he wanted a way out.
\nAspinall also didn\u2019t hide his disappointment about White\u2019s
\ncomments. Aspinall has since signed with the management of Eddie
\nHearn, who is a rival of White.<\/p>\n
