\nUFC 328<\/a> headliner will be a one-sided fight.<\/p>\n

Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> (15-0) is scheduled to defend his middleweight title
\nagainst Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> (30-7) in the main event at UFC 328 on May 9 at
\nPrudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Chimaev is a massive -590
\nfavorite going into the fight against Strickland, a +390
\nunderdog.<\/p>\n

However, Strickland\u2019s trash talk and confidence almost make one
\ndoubt the odds. Many fans and pundits are also not counting
\nStrickland out due to his elite defensive wrestling.<\/p>\n

Chimaev\u2019s former foe, Whittaker, admits that Strickland\u2019s trash
\ntalk almost convinces him that the American can pull off an upset.
\nHowever, having shared the Octagon with Chimaev, Whittaker does not
\ndoubt that \u201cBorz\u201d will take Strickland down. While there used to be
\nconcerns about Chimaev\u2019s gas tank, Whittaker notes that the
\nundefeated champion diminished that perception in his dominant,
\nunanimous decision title win over Dricus Du
\nPlessis<\/a>. Whittaker predicts that Chimaev will run through
\nStrickland.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Strickland] talks big game. He almost convinces me that he can do
\nit. But being in there with Chimaev, having seen what Chimaev can
\ndo once he gets his hands on you, and he will, cause he shoots from
\nso far away, and he commits wholeheartedly, he will get you to the
\nmat,\u201d Whittaker told UFC on Paramount. \u201cIt\u2019s what happens after.
\nSeeing that he has the cardio to do that for five rounds as well.
\nGun to my head? Chimaev is going to run him over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chimaev finished Whittaker (26-9) with a face crank, also leaving
\n\u201cBobby Knuckles\u201d with a broken jaw at UFC 308 in 2024. Whittaker
\nhas since suffered a controversial spilt decision loss against
\nReinier
\nde Ridder<\/a>.<\/p>\n
