However,<br \/>\nboth men were pure professionals when it came to making weight for<br \/>\nthe UFC 328 main event, as both came in under the 185-pound<br \/>\nchampionship limit. Meanwhile, flyweight champion <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Joshua-Van-365973\">Joshua Van<\/a><br \/>\nand challenger <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Tatsuro-Taira-293975\">Tatsuro<br \/>\nTaira<\/a> both weighed 125 pounds on the dot for their co-main<br \/>\nevent fight. In total, 13 fights are now set after all fighters<br \/>\nmade weight with the exception of <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Jeremy-Stephens-12179\">Jeremy<br \/>\nStephens<\/a>, who came in four pounds over the lightweight limit<br \/>\nfor his fight against <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/King-Green-27953\">King Green<\/a><br \/>\nand will be fined 30% of his purse as a result.<\/p>\n<div id=\"adViAi\">\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p> The undefeated Chimaev (15-0) will look to make his first<br \/>\nchampionship defense against his one-time training partner. &#8220;Borz&#8221;<br \/>\nis coming off an impressive, if not very exciting, win over<br \/>\n<a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Dricus-Du-Plessis-146193\">Dricus<br \/>\nDu Plessis<\/a> that saw the 32-year-old claim the UFC middleweight<br \/>\ntitle. Chimaev officially weighed 185 pounds on the dot for the<br \/>\nhighly anticipated fight.<\/p>\n<p>Former middleweight king Strickland rebounded nicely from his<br \/>\nsecond defeat to Du Plessis by knocking out <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/fighter\/Anthony-Hernandez-86783\">Anthony<br \/>\nHernandez<\/a> earlier this year. Showing more power than in<br \/>\nprevious fights, Strickland (30-7) kept his signature high pace and<br \/>\nput a beating on &#8220;Fluffy.&#8221; The Xtreme Couture product weighed 185<br \/>\npounds exactly for the fight, which could be his last title shot at<br \/>\n35 years of age.<\/p>\n<p>UFC 328 will air in its entirety on Paramount+ on Saturday.
