\nweigh-in will always be marred by controversy. <\/p>\n

Chimaev is scheduled to defend his middleweight title against
\nSean
\nStrickland<\/a> at UFC 328 on Saturday at the Prudential Center in
\nNewark, New Jersey. While making weight was a major issue for
\nChimaev at welterweight, that issue was apparently addressed with
\nhis move up to middleweight in 2022. <\/p>\n

However, Chimaev appeared extremely drained while weighing in for
\nUFC 328. While Chimaev officially made weight, the weigh-in was
\ncontroversial. Chimaev stepped on the scale only for a few moments
\nbefore the officials called 185 \u2014 even before the scale settled.
\nHawk-eyed fans didn’t fail to notice<\/a> the hurried weigh-in<\/a> for the middleweight
\nchampion. <\/p>\n


\nUFC<\/a> bantamweight Bryce
\nMitchell<\/a> also accused Chimaev of missing weight. While Mitchell
\ndidn\u2019t directly accuse the UFC, he is certain that \u201cBorz\u201d didn\u2019t
\nmake weight. According to \u201cThug Nasty\u201d Chimaev gets preferential
\ntreatment. Mitchell recalled how the entire UFC 279 main card was
\nreshuffled after Chimaev missed the welterweight limit by a
\nwhopping 7.5 pounds in 2022. Mitchell already considers Strickland
\nthe champion and believes the scales are rigged against him as his
\nspeech cannot be controlled.<\/p>\n

Double Standard?<\/h2>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been making weight since I was 17 years old,\u201d Mitchell said
\non Instagram. \u201cI\u2019m almost 32 now, it\u2019s almost been 15 years. I know
\nwhat it looks like when somebody makes that weight. They have to
\nstand completely still. The bob on the scale has to balance. That
\ndude didn\u2019t make that weight. There\u2019s no convincing me. Jeffery
\nEpstein\u2019s getting away with it. Aliens are gonna take over the
\ncountry and now Chimaev makes weight, it\u2019s all bulls\u2014t. That is not
\nwhat it looks like when somebody makes weight. I think they got it
\nout against Sean. And I\u2019m not accusing the UFC. I don\u2019t know who\u2019s
\nwho, what\u2019s what. I\u2019m just telling you, he didn\u2019t make that weight.
\nRemember when Chimaev had that weight scandal also in the past. He
\nwas supposed to be at 170, they bumped him up from 170 to 185, day
\noff. He gets special treatment. Bryce don\u2019t. Bryce ain\u2019t gonna get
\nno special treatment. If anything, the scales are rigged against
\nme. He didn\u2019t make that weight and I think Sean\u2019s champ already. So
\nI really think it\u2019s rigged against Sean. They don\u2019t want him to win
\nbecause they can\u2019t control what he says and he loves
\nAmerica.\u201d <\/p>\n

Mitchell moved down to bantamweight from featherweight following a
\nvicious knockout loss against Jean Silva<\/a>
\nlast year. Mitchell (18-3) has since earned a unanimous decision
\nwin over Said
\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. Mitchell is now scheduled to fight Victor
\nHenry<\/a> (25-7) at
\nUFC Fight Night 278<\/a> on June 6 in Las Vegas. <\/p>\n
