The
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> returns this weekend in one of
\nthe rare moments where they won’t have the biggest mixed martial
\narts card going on that day, and now its
\nUFC Vegas 117<\/a> card is official following the weigh-ins.<\/p>\n

Headlining the 13-fight event is a featherweight scrap between
\ncontenders Arnold
\nAllen<\/a> and Melquizael
\nCosta<\/a>. Both men successfully made weight for the five-round
\nmain event. The rest of the card also hit their contracted weights,
\nso there was no drama at the weigh-ins.<\/p>\n

This is a must-win fight for Allen (20-4) if he hopes to stay a
\nrelevant factor near the top of 145 pounds. “Almighty” has come up
\nshort in three of his last four fights, as he dropped decisions to
\nMax
\nHolloway<\/a>, Movsar
\nEvloev<\/a> and Jean Silva<\/a>.
\nWhile a win over Giga
\nChikadze<\/a> showed he isn’t washed, it’s undeniably been a
\ndisappointing stretch for the English fighter, as he started his
\nUFC career with 10 straight wins. Allen weighed 145 pounds on the
\ndot for his third UFC main event.<\/p>\n

Brazil’s Costa (26-7) is looking to earn the biggest win yet of his
\ncareer. “The Dalmatian” is on an impressive six-fight win streak
\ninside the Octagon with highlight-reel knockouts of Morgan
\nCharriere<\/a> and Dan Ige<\/a> coming
\nmost recently. Just 29, Costa is looking to cement himself as a
\ncontender and weighed 145.5 pounds.<\/p>\n

UFC Vegas 117 will stream in its entirety on Paramount+ on
\nSaturday. The main card starts at 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT, while the
\nprelims begin at 5 p.m. ET\/2 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n
