\nChimaev<\/a> after UFC
\n328<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Chimaev put his middleweight title on the line against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> at UFC 328 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey. While
\nChimaev dominated the first round on the ground, Strickland found
\nhis momentum in the second and third rounds. After
\nclosely-contested championship rounds, Strickland roped in a
\nsplit-decision victory in a monumental upset. <\/p>\n

Costa, who has had beef with Chimaev in the past, issued multiple
\ncallouts to \u201cBorz\u201d after his first professional loss. Costa posted
\nan AI-generated video of himself knocking out Chimaev in a sauna
\nroom. The video also contains a glimpse of Costa and Chimaev\u2019s
\naltercation at the UFC Performance Institute, dating back to
\n2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cGourmet Chechen, next time nobody will stop me from ripping your
\nskin off!\u201d Costa wrote.<\/p>\n

Costa was training with the UFC PI in 2022 when Chimaev walked out
\nof the sauna with his gang and allegedly started challenging
\n\u201cBorrachinha\u201d to fight him on the spot. UFC veteran Jake Shields<\/a>,
\nwho was training with Costa, accused Chimaev of putting on an act
\nfor the cameras and walking away while teasing a fight.

Ready to Make the Move?<\/h2>\n

UFC president Dana White said that Chimaev (15-1) told him he wants
\nto move up following his title loss at UFC 328. Costa (16-4), who
\nis currently juggling between middleweight and light heavyweight,
\nis ready to welcome Chimaev to the 205-pound division.<\/p>\n

\u201cGourmet Chechen failed, give me that poodle, we won’t reach a
\ndecision,\u201d Costa wrote.<\/p>\n
