\nfight to look forward to, as reigning champion Pawel
\nPawlak<\/a> is expected to meet Piotr
\nKuberski<\/a> in a middleweight title unification bout.<\/p>\n

In the
\nKSW 118<\/a> main event, Kuberski (18-1, 6-0 KSW) retained the
\ninterim middleweight title in emphatic fashion, stopping Michal
\nMichalski<\/a> (14-6, 8-4 KSW) in Round 1. The fighters spent a few
\nseconds studying each other before both men shifted gears and went
\nto work. Michalski came forward aggressively, but Kuberski timed
\nhim perfectly, countering with a straight left that sent \u201cCukier\u201d
\nto the canvas. \u201cQbear\u201d applied further pressure and was clinical
\nwith ground-and-pound action once Michalski turtled up. Referee
\nLukasz Bosacki had no choice but to step in and halt the contest at
\nthe 2:09 mark of the opening frame. In victory, Kuberski earned his
\n15th consecutive win and recorded the 16th knockout of his
\ncareer.<\/p>\n

\nbooks by becoming the first-ever KSW women’s 135-pound champion,
\ndefeating Wiktoria
\nCzyzewska<\/a> (7-2, 6-2 KSW) via unanimous decision in a five-round
\nwar. UFD Gym-representative Luzar-Smajic controlled the early
\nrounds with sharper striking, clipping \u201cChicatoro\u201d on multiple
\noccasions and building a lead on the scorecards. Czyzewska
\nthreatened in the fourth frame, coming close to locking up a
\nrear-naked choke, but couldn’t finalize the submission as the
\nCroatian-Bosnian \u201cGuerreira\u201d weathered the storm. Czyzewska leaned
\non her wrestling and dirty boxing work down the stretch to make it
\ncompetitive. In the end, the judges\u2019 scorecards read 49-46, 49-46,
\nand 48-47 in favor of Luzar-Smajic, who claimed the inaugural belt
\nand extended her winning streak to three in a row.<\/p>\n
