Rousey took on fellow veteran Gina Carano<\/a>
\nin the main event of
\nMVP’s first MMA card<\/a> on Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Los
\nAngeles, California. \u201cRowdy\u201d took 17 seconds to make Carano tap
\nwith her signature armbar. Rousey subsequently confirmed that she
\nis hanging up her gloves for good.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no way I could have ended it better than this,\u201d Rousey
\nsaid in her post-fight interview. \u201cI want to have some more babies,
\nand I gotta get cooking.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rousey (12-2) went on a murderous streak in Strikeforce<\/a>
\nand later the
\nUFC<\/a>, securing nine submissions via armbar. Rousey\u2019s UFC
\nbantamweight title reign ended with a knockout loss against
\nHolly
\nHolm<\/a> in 2015. Rousey exited the UFC after a first-round
\nknockout loss in a failed title bid against Amanda
\nNunes<\/a> in 2016. Rousey later went on to ply her trade in the
\nWWE. The Olympic bronze medallist judoka claims she was even in
\ndiscussions for a return to the UFC before their partnership with
\nParamount+ and the end of the pay-per-view era. Rousey severely
\ncriticized the UFC in the lead-up to her MVP clash against
\nCarano. <\/p>\n
