The former
\nUFC<\/a> heavyweight king was stopped by Robelis
\nDespaigne<\/a> 2:59 into the opening round of their main card bout
\nat the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. It was dos Santos\u2019 first
\nappearance since winning the Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA heavyweight
\ncrown with a stoppage of Alan
\nBelcher<\/a> in March 2024. As a result of the knockout, \u201cCigano\u201d
\nwill need neurological clearance before he can return to active

The California State Athletic Commission recently released a full
\nlist of medical suspensions from the event. Everyone on the card \u2014
\nincluding main event competitors Ronda
\nRousey<\/a> and Gina Carano<\/a>
\n\u2014 received at least a seven-day mandatory suspension.<\/p>\n

Two other fighters from MVP \u201cRousey vs. Carano\u201d received six-month
\nterms, pending medical clearance: Nate Diaz<\/a>
\n(possible left finger fracture) and Jefferson
\nCreighton<\/a> (left knee pain).<\/p>\n
