\nSaturday at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The card
\nwas promoted as a genuine threat to the UFC\u2019s monopoly at the top
\ntier of MMA. <\/p>\n

Jones, who attended the event, believes it was better than UFC
\ncards. Despite having been champion in two weight classes in the
\nUFC, Jones claims he never attended an event like the one hosted by
\nMVP.<\/p>\n

\u2018Absolutely Unbelievable\u2019<\/h2>\n

\u201cI think the MVP promotion was absolutely unbelievable,\u201d Jones
\nsaid. \u201cI think it was actually better than the UFC. I’ve never been
\nat such a promotion. I mean they had the fog machines and TVs
\nabsolutely everywhere. Great fighters.\u201d <\/p>\n

While the MVP card had some up-and-coming talent, the major fights
\ncertainly didn\u2019t have the best fighters in the world. A 39-year-old
\nRonda
\nRousey<\/a> submitted 44-year-old Gina Carano<\/a>
\nin the main event of the night. Meanwhile, Mike Perry<\/a>
\nbeat down a 41-year-old Nate Diaz<\/a>
\nuntil his corner was forced to throw in the towel after the second
\nround. Meanwhile, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis
\nNgannou<\/a> showed that he has still got it by knocking out
\nPhilipe
\nLins<\/a> in the first round. Ngannou called out Jones after his
\nvictory. Jones, who is currently not on good terms with the UFC, is
\nhoping for his release from the promotion. <\/p>\n
