There were plenty of eyes on
\nMost Valuable Promotions<\/a>\u2019 MMA debut on Neftlix.<\/p>\n

According to a release from MVP, viewership peaked at 17 million
\nfor the featherweight headliner between Ronda
\nRousey<\/a> and Gina Carano<\/a>
\nwhile drawing an average of 12.4 million viewers globally. In the
\nUnited States, the fight card averaged 9.3 million viewers with a
\npeak of 11.6 million for the evening\u2019s headliner, making it \u201cthe
\nmost watched MMA event ever in the U.S,\u201d per a release.<\/p>\n

In addition to Rousey vs. Carano, MVP\u2019s debut card featured a
\nmarquee co-main event between Mike Perry<\/a>
\nand Nate
\nDiaz<\/a> as well as a heavyweight showdown between former UFC champ
\nFrancis
\nNgannou<\/a> and Philipe
\nLins<\/a>. Both Rousey vs. Carano and Ngannou vs. Lins ended inside
\nof a round, while Perry forced a corner stoppage against Diaz after
\ntwo frames.<\/p>\n

“The event also generated over 410 million impressions across MVP\u2019s
\nowned social channels, a live gate exceeding $2.2 million, and saw
\nterrific commercial premises distribution across bars, restaurants,
\ncasinos, and hospitality venues nationwide,\u201d the MVP release
\nstated.<\/p>\n

Hope for the Future<\/h2>\n

MVP, which is run by co-founders Jake Paul<\/a> and
\nNakisa Bidarian, seems optimistic about the viability for future
\nMMA events going forward.<\/p>\n

“We’re incredibly proud of what was accomplished alongside our
\npartners at Netflix and grateful to the athletes who helped make
\nMVP MMA’s debut such a success,” the release stated. “We’ve
\nreceived an overwhelming amount of interest from investors,
\nstrategic partners and fighters who want to be involved with MVP
\nand the future of MVP MMA.<\/p>\n

“We are currently reviewing all strategic options to do something
\nvery meaningful within MMA on a go-forward basis with distribution
\npartners like Netflix that share our vision to create lasting
\nimpact.\u201d<\/p>\n
