\nMcGregor<\/a> in his return. <\/p>\n

McGregor (22-6) is scheduled to return for the first time since
\n2021 against Max
\nHolloway<\/a> (27-9) at UFC 329<\/a>
\non July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Former foe Dustin
\nPoirier<\/a>, who beat McGregor twice, believes \u201cNotorious\u201d only has
\na \u201cpuncher\u2019s chance\u201d against Holloway. Former middleweight champion
\nChris
\nWeidman<\/a> agrees with Poirier, giving McGregor only the first
\ncouple of minutes to potentially finish Holloway.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only chance Conor really has is to knock out Max,\u201d Weidman
\nsaid on Deep Waters. \u201cAnd probably in the first or second
\nround.\u201d<\/p>\n

Limited Time to Make an Impact<\/h2>\n

While Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a> agrees with Poirier and Weidman, he doesn\u2019t thinks
\nMcGregor only has a chance in the first couple of minutes of the
\nfight.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecond round, not even\u2026 He\u2019s got two minutes,\u201d Masvidal said.<\/p>\n

Weidman noted that McGregor is going up against a volume puncher,
\nwho holds the record for the most significant strikes landed in UFC
\nhistory. Meanwhile, Poirier, who lost to Holloway in his retirement
\nfight last year, believes \u201cBlessed\u201d is more than just a volume
\npuncher now. Poirier notes that while Holloway largely relied on
\nvolume at featherweight, the Hawaiian\u2019s power has significantly
\nincreased since moving up to lightweight. With the matchup against
\nMcGregor scheduled at welterweight, Poirier believes Holloway could
\nland fight-ending shots. <\/p>\n
