The Brazilian welterweight contender claims to have<br \/>\nnearly 140 bouts on his resume in his amateur and professional<br \/>\ncareer combined. Prates further revealed that his body has<br \/>\nsustained a lot of wear and tear over the years. \u201cThe Nightmare\u201d<br \/>\nhas to wait for 20 minutes after waking up everyday before he can<br \/>\nmove normally. Prates claims his feet, back and neck are all<br \/>\nsomewhat damaged. However, Prates won\u2019t rule out the idea of<br \/>\ncompeting even later if the fight purse is lucrative enough.<\/p>\n<h2>Pain Every Day<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cI want to leave before [40]. Maybe 35 or 36,\u201d Prates said on \u201cThe<br \/>\nAriel Helwani Show.\u201d \u201cI have almost 140 fights. When I wake up and<br \/>\nget out of my bed, I cannot walk well. I need to wait 20 minutes<br \/>\nfor my back to stop [hurting], my feet. Everyday. Both my feet, my<br \/>\nback and neck are also bad\u2026 Let\u2019s see how many zeros they\u2019re gonna<br \/>\nput on my bank account.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prates (24-7) had already paid more than his fair share of dues on<br \/>\nthe regional circuit before joining the <a rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sherdog.com\/organizations\/Ultimate-Fighting-Championship-2\"><br \/>\nUFC<\/a> in 2024. Prates quickly rose to stardom in the UFC with his<br \/>\nfun loving persona backed by his highlight reel performances. The<br \/>\n32-year-old has finished all seven of his UFC victories while only<br \/>\nsuffering a decision loss.
