\nLins<\/a> in a heavyweight matchup on the card and subsequently
\ncalled out Jones. While Jones expressed interest in the matchup, he
\nnoted that he needs to be released from the
\nUFC<\/a> first. <\/p>\n

Jones is optimistic about his UFC release if he goes through the
\nright channels. Jones recently revealed that he wants to transition
\nto boxing.<\/p>\n

A Chance to Show Other Skills?<\/h2>\n

\u201cI think getting out of my UFC contract is very very possible,\u201d
\nJones said.\u201dI need to find the right people and go through the
\nright channels\u2026 I really wanted to box. If I put all of my energy
\ninto my hands, my combinations, my punching power, I think I would
\nsurprise a lot of people. I would love to box.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones (28-1) is currently having a falling out with the UFC. Jones
\nretired as the heavyweight champion last year after ducking interim
\nchampion Tom
\nAspinall<\/a> for over a year. However, Jones started rallying for a
\nspot on the White House card as soon as it was first mentioned.
\n\u201cBones\u201d started lashing out at the UFC after failing to land a spot
\non the White House card. Jones has since been asking for his
\nrelease from the UFC.<\/p>\n

However, MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian doesn\u2019t sound very optimistic
\nabout Jones\u2019 UFC release. Bidarian believes Dana White will make it
\nextremely difficult as Jones\u2019 release would open the door for a
\nbooking against Ngannou, which would arguably be one of the
\ngreatest heavyweight matchups of recent times.  <\/p>\n
