Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> returning at the White House was seemingly not
\nfinancially viable for the
\nUFC<\/a>. <\/p>\n

McGregor (22-6) was originally rallying for a spot on the
\nUFC White House<\/a> card on June 14. However, \u201cNotorious\u201d is now
\nset to return against Max
\nHolloway<\/a> (27-9) at UFC 329<\/a>
\non July 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor\u2019s manager
\nAudie Attar recently explained why McGregor\u2019s return during
\nInternational Fight Week made more sense for the UFC
\nfinancially. <\/p>\n

The UFC White House card will not have any tickets on sale for the
\ngeneral public. According to Dana White, 4,300 people, mostly
\nmembers of the military, will be seated on the South Lawn.
\nMeanwhile, 85,000 tickets will be made available for free to the
\npublic to watch the event at the nearby Ellipse Park. Attar notes
\nthat the UFC is sacrificing a huge amount of gate revenue at the
\nWhite House event. With McGregor being arguably the biggest star in
\nthe history of the sport, the UFC would lose out on a lot of gate
\nrevenue if the Irishman returned at the White House.<\/p>\n

Good Business Partners<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe UFC is actually donating so much in terms of giving up gate
\nrevenue,\u201d Attar told MMAjunkie.com<\/a>. \u201cThey are making it up in different
\nways with the fan zone. Based on the new deal we were able to
\nnegotiate\u2026 it just makes more sense economically for them to
\nutilize him during International Fight Week. T-Mobile Arena, it\u2019s
\nfamiliar ground for us. We want to be good business partners, so
\nfor us it didn\u2019t matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

While there are no tickets on sale for the general public, there
\nare special packages that can be purchased by few elites. While UFC
\ndidn\u2019t confirm the amount, Ariel Helwani claims the packages dubbed
\nas \u201cpartner investments\u201d roughly cost $1.5 million. <\/p>\n
