In a span of three weeks this August, Brazilian MMA fans will have
\nthe oportunity to see four
\nUFC<\/a> champions in action in national soil \u2014 but under diferent
\nrules.<\/p>\n

Shortly after Spaten
\nannounced<\/a> that a boxing match between ex-UFC champs Mauricio Rua<\/a>
\nand Glover
\nTeixeira<\/a> would headline its third event on Aug. 29, Rafael
\nCordeiro<\/a> told Sherdog.com that former heavyweight title holders
\nFabricio
\nWerdum<\/a> and Junior dos
\nSantos<\/a> will square off in a grappling match in the featured
\nattraction at Kings Championship 2 on Aug. 8.<\/p>\n

According to Cordeiro, the event will be promoted in
\nFlorian\u00f3polis Santa Catarina with the full support of local
\ngovernor. The Kings MMA leader plans to announce the full card,
\nwhich will also include MMA fights, in the near future.<\/p>\n

Finishing the Trilogy<\/h2>\n

Dos Santos and Werdum initially squared off at UFC 90 in October
\n2008, with \u201cCigano\u201d winning via first-round TKO. Their paths
\ncrossed again at Gamebred Bareknuckle 5, where dos Santos defeated
\nWerdum via split decision on Sept. 8, 2023.<\/p>\n

Dos Santos is coming off a brutal first-round knockout loss to
\nRobelis
\nDespaigne<\/a> at
\nMost Valuable Promotions “Rousey vs. Carano”<\/a> on May 16. Werdum
\nhasn\u2019t competed since the rematch against \u201cCigano.\u201d<\/p>\n
