Paul entered the Forbes\u2019 list of highest paid athletes for 2026.
\n\u201cThe Problem Child\u201d is ranked 23rd on the list with a total
\nearnings of $70 million. When Strickland heard the news, the
\n
\nUFC<\/a> middleweight champion joked about terminating his contract
\nwith the promotion to go fight Paul. Strickland claims even a
\nfraction of Paul\u2019s earnings is more than he is earning in the UFC.
\nStrickland is absolutely confident that he would school Paul if
\nthey met in the squared circle.<\/p>\n

\u201cI gotta leave the UFC and go beat up Jake Paul. That\u2019s it,\u201d
\nStrickland told Nina Marie-Daniele at a recent MMA event. \u201cLeave my
\ncontract with the UFC. It\u2019s time for me to leave. If I made even a
\nfraction of that I would be making more than the UFC is paying me.
\nI would beat the s\u2014t out of Jake Paul.\u201d <\/p>\n

Rare Air for MMA Athletes<\/h2>\n

The only other combat sports athlete to make it to the list is
\nSaul
\nAlvarez<\/a>, who took the second position with a total earnings of
\n$170 million. Meanwhile, Conor
\nMcGregor<\/a> is the only MMA fighter who ever made to the Forbes\u2019
\nlist of highest paid athletes, first due to his boxing bout against
\nFloyd
\nMayweather<\/a>, and then due to the profits from his sale of
\nmajority shares in Proper No.12 whiskey. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Paul initially started his boxing career against fellow
\nsocial media influencers. Paul became a popular name in combat
\nsports by fighting MMA fighters. The 29-year-old has since
\nprogressed to fighting boxers like Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar
\nChavez Jr. Paul most recently fought his toughest competition in
\nformer heavyweight champion Anthony
\nJoshua<\/a>, who stopped him in the sixth round. <\/p>\n
