\nNurmagomedov<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Dvalishvili lost his bantamweight title in a rematch against
\nPetr
\nYan<\/a> at
\nUFC 323<\/a> this past December. Dvalishvili now expects to
\nchallenge Yan for the title in a trilogy. Meanwhile, former
\nchampion Sean O\u2019Malley is scheduled to fight top contender Aiemann
\nZahabi<\/a> at
\nUFC White House<\/a> on June 14. <\/p>\n

Dvalishvili was recently attending a presser for his upcoming
\nwrestling match against Frankie
\nEdgar<\/a> at RAF 9. Dvalishvili was asked if he would consider a
\nrematch against Nurmagomedov in case the winner of O\u2019Malley vs.
\nZahabi jumped the queue for the next title shot. Dvalishvili
\nconfidently doubled down on his claims of a confirmed trilogy
\nagainst Yan. \u201cThe Machine\u201d then completely dismissed
\nNurmagomedov.<\/p>\n

Bad Blood Lingers<\/h2>\n

\u201cWhat kind of question is this?\u201d Dvalishvsili said. \u201cI\u2019m sure you
\nknow I\u2019m fighting Petr Yan<\/a>, it’s
\ngonna be trilogy. He beat me last fight and we have to fight again.
\nBut who the f\u2014k is Umar, bro? Who cares about him?\u201d<\/p>\n

When Dvalishvili (21-5) first won the title against O\u2019Malley in
\n2024, the then-unbeaten Nurmagomedov started calling for a title
\nshot against the Georgian. Dvalishvili initially turned down
\nNurmagomedov, calling for a rematch against O\u2019Malley instead. Fans
\nsoon started accusing Dvalishvili of ducking Nurmagomedov, who was
\nthen considered to be his biggest threat. Dvalishvili eventually
\naccepted the fight and successfully defended his title against
\nNurmagomedov, handing the Dagestani his first professional
\nloss.<\/p>\n

Dvalishvili repeatedly accused Nurmagomedov of disrespecting him,
\nalthough there was barely any bad blood between the two apart from
\nthe customary trash talk. Dvalishvili repeatedly clarified that he
\nhas immense respect for Umar\u2019s teammates Khabib
\nNurmagomedov<\/a> and Islam
\nMakhachev<\/a>. However, Dvalishvili didn\u2019t harbor the same respect
\ntowards Umar and accused him of receiving privileges for being
\nrelated to Khabib. Nurmagomedov (20-1) has rebounded with wins over
\nMario
\nBautista<\/a> and Deiveson
\nFigueiredo<\/a> since his loss to Dvalishvili. <\/p>\n
