While Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> isn\u2019t satisfied with
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> fighter pay, he doesn\u2019t think it
\nwill change anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Strickland (31-7) recently accused the UFC of being predatory in
\nterms of fighter pay. While Dana White claims UFC fighters are
\nmaking more after the new Paramount+ deal, Strickland disagrees.
\nStrickland recently reiterated the fact that the UFC isn\u2019t close to
\nany major sporting league in terms of the revenue share paid to
\nathletic talent. However, Strickland doesn\u2019t think that it will
\nchange for the better any time soon. Strickland notes that there
\nwill be always be struggling fighters who will be willing to
\ncompete for a lesser amount. According to Strickland, fighter pay
\nis the reason behind the decline in the number of American fighters
\non the UFC roster.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one is getting paid more\u2026 As far as the payscale, you compare
\nit to any other sporting event, the UFC is the most f**ked up,\u201d
\nStrickland told Complex<\/a>. \u201cIf
\nyou compare it to athlete pay vs. what they\u2019re making, there\u2019s no
\nargument there. It\u2019s not fair, it\u2019s predatory\u2026 I would just like it
\nto match other sporting events\u2026 Does it change? No it doesn\u2019t
\nf**king change. You say no to a fight, they will find some f**king
\nguy in some sandpit that will do it for 5k and 5k. This is why
\nyou\u2019re slowly gonna see the American roster die\u2026 You make more
\nmoney at f**king Walmart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Most major sporting leagues like the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL pay
\nclose to 50% of their revenue shares to athletes. However,
\naccording to a 2012 study, the UFC only paid 18.6% of its revenue
\nto fighters.<\/p>\n
