\nMuhammad<\/a>\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

Muhammad took on Gabriel
\nBonfim<\/a> in a welterweight matchup in the main event at
\nUFC Fight Night 278<\/a> on Saturday. Bonfim delivered a master
\nclass on the feet, never letting Muhammad get his wrestling game
\ngoing. While \u201cRemember the Name\u201d put on a display of heart and
\nchin, Bonfim beat him down for five rounds to earn the win by
\ndominant unanimous decision.<\/p>\n

Muhammad\u2019s former opponent Brady believes the former champ failed
\nto use a few weapons at his disposal. Namely, when Bonfim kicked,
\nBrady expected Muhammad to either catch the limb or counter it more
\neffectively. Brady noted that Muhammad fought on his back foot for
\nmost of the fight, which significantly hampered his wrestling.
\nHowever, Brady also gave the victor Bonfim credit for placing
\nhimself in the best place to win the fight. Brady said on the UFC
\npost-fight show:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think [Muhammad] could have worked on catching the kicks a lot
\nmore. Gabriel was throwing them low; he was throwing them to the
\nbody. So, I think that\u2019s something that Belal could have scored
\nsome takedowns off of. If you watch my fight with Buckley, whenever
\nsomeone kicks at me, I\u2019m looking to catch a leg. And it\u2019s usually
\none of the easiest ways to score takedowns\u2026 I think Belal also
\ndidn\u2019t do himself any favors by getting backed up the whole time.
\nIt\u2019s hard to shoot off your back foot, especially if you\u2019re trying
\nto be explosive with a double leg. If he had started to go forward,
\ntrying to catch those kicks, it would have did him wonders. But
\nGabriel did a good job of just not letting it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brady suffered his first professional loss against Muhammad via
\nknockout in 2022. Brady then rebounded with a three-fight winning
\nstreak before falling short against Michael
\nMorales<\/a> at UFC 322 last year. Brady has since returned to the
\nwin column with a dominant decision over Joaquin
\nBuckley<\/a> in May. Brady revealed that he has already been
\nstudying Bonfim as he thought they could be on a collision course.
\nBrady will be open to fighting \u201cMarretinha\u201d if he can break into
\nthe top five at welterweight after his win over Muhammad.<\/p>\n
