Tensions continue to rise between Ilia
\nTopuria<\/a> and Justin
\nGaethje<\/a> just days ahead of their matchup at
\nUFC White House: Freedom 250<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Topuria (17-0) puts his lightweight title on the line against
\ninterim champion Gaethje (27-5) in the main event on June 14. Both
\nTopuria and Gaethje are known to be respectful towards their
\nopponents, hardly even engaging in trash talk. While things were
\ninitially the same in the lead-up to their upcoming fight, Topuria
\nand Gaethje are now going at each other.<\/p>\n

It started with Gaethje\u2019s father calling Topuria a short guy.
\nTopuria responded by promising to knock Gaethje out in front of his
\nfather. Gaethje hit back by taking a dig at Topuria\u2019s recent
\ndivorce, which the Georgian-Spaniard took personally. After a
\nheated exchange on X, Topuria and Gaethje recently traded barbs
\nover a video call on Pat McAfee\u2019s talk show.<\/p>\n

While Topuria is oozing with confidence going into the fight,
\nGaethje promises to make him look human.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe believes everything he says,\u201d Gaethje said. \u201cSits down and
\nsmells his own fart. He thinks he is god. He is human just like me.
\nI\u2019m going to show him. I\u2019m going to touch his chin, he is going to
\ngo to sleep just like anybody would when I land my shots.\u201d<\/p>\n

Topuria has repeatedly vowed to knock Gaethje out in the first
\nround. But \u201cThe Highlight\u201d believes that Topuria will regret his
\nwords when the fight goes beyond the first round.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love you knowing that you\u2019re going to knock me out. Cause when
\nit goes to the second round, the third round, you\u2019ll be like, \u2018Oh,
\nI talked a lot of sh*t.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

However, \u201cEl Matador\u201d is confident that the scenario won\u2019t arise as
\nthe fight won\u2019t go beyond the first five minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cNever going to be a second or third round. That\u2019s not going to
\nhappen. I\u2019m going to knock you out in the first round\u2026 You\u2019re going
\nto feel something you never felt. You never faced someone like
\nme.\u201d<\/p>\n
