\u201cStillknocks\u201d is widely rumored to be facing former welterweight

\nUsman<\/a> at UFC Oklahoma City on July 18. However, the UFC has yet
\nto announce the fight officially. Du Plessis recently accused his
\nupcoming opponent of stalling things on their part. Du Plessis
\nclaimed that Usman\u2019s slowness in signing the bout agreement
\nindicates a lack of confidence in his chances of winning, writing
\non Instagram:<\/p>\n

\u201cSo apparently a little someone agreed to a fight but actually
\nsigning the dotted line isn\u2019t that easy when you know you\u2019re just
\nsigning for a show purse. Smart-Yes Scared- Definitely Sorry people
\nthe announcement is taking longer than expected but from my side
\nit\u2019s been signed and sealed for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

Du Plessis (23-3) won the title against Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> in 2024, then defended it twice, against Israel
\nAdesanya<\/a> and in a rematch with Strickland. The South African
\nlost his title to Khamzat
\nChimaev<\/a> last August, and hasn\u2019t fought since. Meanwhile, Usman
\n(21-4) rebounded from a three-fight skid with a win over Joaquin
\nBuckley<\/a> last June, which also marked his return to action after
\n20 months.<\/p>\n
