\nCampos<\/a> silenced the home crowd as he finished the local
\nfavorite in the first round at
\nPFL Nigeria<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Campos (8-2, 2-1 PFL) locked horns with Wasi
\nAdeshina<\/a> (10-4, 3-1 PFL) in an intriguing featherweight clash.
\nAfter a brief feeling-out process where both fighters alternated
\nbetween wrestling phases against the fence and exchanges in the
\ncenter of the cage, \u201cNacho\u201d landed a perfectly timed knee that
\ndropped his opponent. The Spaniard followed up with several heavy
\npunches from half-guard before taking his opponent\u2019s back as
\nAdeshina was looking to escape. Once Campos gained the favorable
\nposition, it was only a matter of time before he locked in a
\nrear-naked choke. Adeshina was unable to mount an effective defense
\nbefore tapping out at the 1:45 mark of Round 1. In victory, Campos
\nhanded his foe the first loss under the
\nProfessional Fighters League<\/a> banner.<\/p>\n

\nOcheme<\/a> (8-1, 3-0 PFL) stopped Ayinda
\nOctave<\/a> (7-2, 1-2 PFL) with a flying knee at 3:17 of Round 1 in
\ntheir lightweight tournament clash. The pair wasted little time
\nengaging, each looking to make an early statement. Once Ocheme had
\nhis opponent measured, he charged forward and landed a flying knee
\nwhile Octave was attempting a takedown. The shot dropped Octave
\ninstantly. “Star Boi” connected with a left hand before pulling
\nback as the referee stepped in to wave off the contest.<\/p>\n

In other action, Karim
\nHenniene<\/a> (7-0, 3-0 PFL) submitted Thimna
\nMhlauli<\/a> (5-1, 0-1 PFL) with an anaconda choke at 2:23 of Round
\n1 in their bantamweight clash. \u201cThe Kryptonian\u201d moved the action to
\nthe canvas with ease, locked in the choke and forced Mhlauli to
\nlose consciousness as his defense proved insufficient to escape the
\nhold. In victory, Henniene spoiled the perfect record of his foe
\nand advanced to the 135-pound tournament\u2019s next phase.<\/p>\n

Cornel
\nThompson<\/a> (12-3, 2-0 PFL) outpointed Aureo Cruz<\/a>
\n(3-1, 1 NC; 0-1, 1 NC PFL) in their lightweight tournament
\nencounter. Thompson put his clean striking to work in the opening
\nrounds before Cruz moved the action to the canvas in the third. The
\neffort was enough for a unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
\nand a berth in the semifinals.<\/p>\n

In the main card opener, Jordan
\nCabrel Fongno<\/a> (5-1, 1-0 PFL) handed Yahaya
\nYahuza<\/a> (8-1, 0-1 PFL) the first professional loss of his
\ncareer, stopping him with punches at 3:35 of Round 2 in their
\n185-pound tilt. Fongno backed Yahuza against the fence with a
\nbarrage of punches before referee Steven Momoh stepped in, though
