Josh
\nHokit<\/a> believes he is not leaving the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> anytime soon.<\/p>\n

Hokit (9-0) is scheduled to fight Derrick
\nLewis<\/a> (29-13) in a heavyweight tilt at
\nUFC White House: Freedom 250<\/a> on Sunday. Meanwhile, Alex
\nPereira<\/a> (13-3) fights Ciryl Gane<\/a>
\n(13-2) for the interim heavyweight title in the co-main event.<\/p>\n

Hokit has launched an unprovoked tirade on Pereira, targeting
\n\u201cPoatan\u201d verbally during press conferences and run-ins at the
\nfighter hotel. Pereira recently said Hokit\u2019s UFC career might be in
\njeopardy. According to Pereira, while it is too late to boot Hokit
\nfrom the White House card, it could be his last fight in the UFC.
\nHowever, Hokit has shut down Pereira\u2019s claims. \u201cThe Incredible Hok\u201d
\nsays he recently signed an eight-fight deal with the UFC. Hokit
\nbelieves he is not going anywhere, and Pereira is just being
\nhopeful, as is scared.<\/p>\n

\u201cPereira can say whatever,\u201d Hokit said on UFC Embedded. \u201cWhen you
\nput on a fight like I put on last fight, I don\u2019t think I\u2019m going
\nanywhere. I just signed an eight-fight contract as well. He\u2019s just
\ntalking just to talk. Maybe he\u2019s running away. Maybe he\u2019s scared,
\nthat\u2019s why he hopes that Dana kicks me out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hokit has taken up the role of the UFC’s new heel, cutting
\nslur-filled WWE-style promos, which border on insanity. Hokit first
\ntargeted Pereira at a press conference last month, saying, \u2018I\u2019ll
\nchama on your mama.\u2019 While Pereira admittedly found the comment
\ndisrespectful, Hokit repeated it at their recent meeting at the
\nfighter hotel. \u201cPoatan\u201d is focused on maintaining composure and
\nmaking sure that Hokit can\u2019t incite any reaction from him during
\nfight week.<\/p>\n
